I haven’t done the Eclipse migration bit myself yet but am planning to, which is why I was looking at this thread. Once you’ve learned the basics of Eclipse this way, and assuming you like it (I love it!), then migrate yourself to the latest Eclipse build on SuSE. …then install it on Windows and work through the tutorials. I installed NetBeans (probably pre 6.5) but found it slow and clunky and didn’t really get to grips with it. After doing a Java course that had used BlueJ I wanted to try a full IDE with Java.
